So far, WOW!!! I have enjoyed attending this school... Online. Of course it is an Art/Design School, but that's what I have been into anyway. I am taking up Interactive Media/Web Design. I have learned more about how to navigate around the CS4 pS & aI. I was already good with it, however, I have learned so much more. And the student discount prices... ARE GREEEAAAATTTTT!!!!! They have all the software you need.
I started my initial Summer classes back on the 13th. The Strategies for Online Learning. Of course, a course to teach you another way to learn. And yes, a sista do have an A so far. I also took an Adobe Photoshop Class, which of course I Aced it. And now I am in my last week of my Adobe Illustrator class. I have learned so much more on how to be so much more creative with it. I have maintained an A throughout the entire quarter so far and I must say, I am proud of myself.
I would recommend the online school environment to any single mom trying to work fulltime and attend school fulltime AND be a good mom fulltime.
Well, I guess I will get up out of here for right now. I do need to finish my assignment for today.
We have to list what we expect to get out of this endeavor, I plan on accomplishing my first step toward being a Master Web Designer. We also had to go through and learn what jobs/careers are available to a person in our selected career field and I learned that I have an abundance of options in a career that I enjoy and maybe even love. All this is quite interesting. On a previous assignment we had, I end up taking these little tests that helps you discover your dominate intelligence(there are 8 of them), your learning style(3 of them), and your personality type(16 of them). Please believe me, this is no facebook or myspace quiz, but actual surveys or quizzes constructed by actual psychologists. Needless to say, I learned a bit more about myself than I knew before. It is all so interesting to me. I am always willing to learn and the greatest knowledge you can have is who you are. Some people go their whole lives strangers to themselves. And I'm out on that one. Later.
Thank you
